Game Description

Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition puts the player in the historical context of the Crusades, where the armies in the desert lands will have to be commanded. The gameplay is focused on building a castle economy, managing production and creating troops for siege battles. The plot campaigns illuminate conflicts from the point of view of Richard the Lion Heart and Saladin, the ruler of the Ayubid dynasty. Gamers have to withstand 20 and lords, each of which uses unique fortresses and tactical approaches for warfare.

The main task is the construction and protection of the citadel with simultaneous attempts to capture enemy fortifications. This title adds a large amount of fresh content to the original structure. Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition introduces 8 detachments of Bedouin warriors with special attributes and 4 additional computer enemy for fights. Content for one gamer is supplemented by 2 historical narratives that cover the events of the first, second and third crusades. In addition, 4 tests of time sands offer a chain of related tasks for passing alone.

The network component of the project is also expanded for joint and competitive modes. A fresh cooperative path allows two allies to unite against the forces under the control of a computer. Network matches support up to 8 people for direct confrontation. For these interactions, the game includes larger maps and advanced options to create its own scenarios. The visual part was redesigned using the source art materials, and the sound support includes fresh notes from the actors of the original voice acting.
