Single and online play allows gamers to become engineers. In Survival Vacancy, users build a shelter in the midst of war. The goal of the players is to create a habitable underground bunker and save as many people as possible. It is also necessary to build and establish infrastructure and automate key life support processes. There are 25 objects available for construction. They allow their wards to work, as well as provide housing and food. Residents are able to upgrade and increase their efficiency. There are 8 skills to improve.

The gameplay is reminiscent of projects like Terraria. The possibility of free online play allows each user to control their own character.
