Game Description

Swamp Keeper is a tale about a little keeper who is destined to protect a sacred swamp from the encroachments of invaders. Armed only with a bow, this nimble lizard must repel the onslaught of the enemy army of Ho, seeking to seize the valuable resources of the swamps. The fate of the native lands depends on accuracy and tactical calculation, because the enemy, using iron and fire, has already approached the very heart of the swamp sanctuary.

Survival in this world requires mastery of a single weapon. Each shot must be timed, as the arrows have limited ammunition and must be magically returned, leaving you momentarily defenseless. Opponents, including armored soldiers and bosses like the Tiger, force you to constantly move and use the environment. In Swamp Keeper, the combat mechanics are based on chargeable attacks, where the strength of the shot directly affects its effectiveness. Successfully completing stages is rewarded with random items that provide useful boosts, such as arrows that explode when hit.

Preparing for battles takes place in the shelter, where you can fine-tune your bow. Five of its components are subject to modification, from the tip to the tail, which allows you to change the characteristics to suit your style. However, the risk system does not allow you to use only the best parts, forcing you to look for a balance between power and stability. In addition to the main campaign, there is a Challenge Cesspool mode for gamers looking for a challenge, as well as special modifiers known as disciplines that make the game more challenging and increase the enemy threat.
