Game Description

Tales of Grimace is a journey through a world torn apart by ideological contradictions, where a person named Yi Ping must confront both external and internal demons. In the lands of Terra, the sinister cult of Maluum is gaining strength, seeking to forcefully impose its beliefs on all residents. Any dissent is severely punished, and those who resist, known as obstainers, face certain death. The story delves into the emotional state of a young man whose struggle with anxiety and depression becomes a central theme.

A quiet life in the town of Cologne for teenager Yi Ping and his girlfriend Hera ends with a sudden attack by fanatics. This event becomes the starting point for a large-scale adventure, during which the protagonist will have to explore the vast landscapes of Terra. The Tales of Grimace project is made in the style of classic role-playing action games with a turn-based combat system and pixel graphics. The gameplay offers not only battles, but also an introduction to many characters whose stories are closely woven into the main plot.

The central mystery is the mysterious connection between Yi Ping himself and the Maluum cult, which he has to uncover. The hero must face traumatic memories and find his true place in a world engulfed in a war of beliefs. This role-playing title focuses on a deep plot, where the exploration of the protagonist’s past plays a key role in liberating the lands of Terra from the oppressive ideology.
