KOF 98 includes multiplayer features and all previously released content for free. Multiplayer allows you to fight as legendary fighters such as Eiji Kisaragi, Kasumi Todoh, Geez Howard, Mister Big and Wolfgang Krauser. Alternative versions of fighters are available. In total, the roster includes 64 characters.

Free online play in THE KING OF FIGHTERS ‘98 ULTIMATE MATCH FINAL EDITION invites you to take part in team battles. There are two modes to choose from: Advanced and Extra. They have been completely rebalanced and now the outcome of the fight is decided only by the player’s ability to control his character. Ranked matches are represented by tournament tables that track the personal achievements of players.

In Game Match mode, you can fight with other participants or against artificial intelligence without any ranks or bonus points. Endless mode is also available. It represents survival, where you need to survive against an endless wave of enemies. Each subsequent battle increases the difficulty. The challenges offer a chance to demonstrate your strength in 30 missions. Practice allows you to study the hero and learn the entire list of his moves and combos.
