Game Description
The Land of the Magnates tells the story of fallen prince Shahbaz, who is tasked with restoring a kingdom shrouded in darkness. The project does not hand the players a sword, but instead puts a sitar in their hands. This is not a hack-and-slash adventure game. No, this is a journey of melody and power, where puzzles replace sword fights. Shahbaz’s adventure takes place through fantastical landscapes. The black forest, the damned expanses, tests your courage. The Water Princess’s domain requires mastery of the elements. The marble kingdom of the monkey kings requires ingenuity.
Each environment offers unique obstacles. The title doesn’t spoon-feed players. She challenges them. Platform sections test reflexes. Environmental puzzles require logical thinking. The sitar, although magical, remains an instrument. Users must learn its nuances, its strength, in order to overcome trials. Relationships matter. Shahbaz meets allies and enemies. Devotion, betrayal and self-sacrifice define his path.
The project weaves a narrative about gods and mortals, kings and commoners. The world seems lived-in, and its history is tangible. There’s a lot of darkness in The Land of the Magnates. This is a world of shadows, ancient curses. But there is hope in him. Shahbaz’s music, a beacon in the night, serves as a counterbalance to despair. The project does not guarantee a happy ending. It promises a journey of wonder, challenge and growth. The title doesn’t hold gamers' hands. She pushes them forward. It requires engagement, reflection and mastery.
