
Game Description
The Lightkeeper transfers Arthur, a veteran of the First World War, to a distant island in 1925. He assumes the position of the sole caretaker of the lighthouse, trying to escape from the memories that pursuing him. His solitude is soon interrupted by the secrets of the past related to the inexplicable fate of previous workers. As daily tasks, the line between its perception and reality is erased, and in the darkness an unknown presence awakens, fed to the heroes of the hero. The world around is gradually distorting, forcing Arthur to doubt his own reason.
The game process in The Lightkeeper is focused on performing the duties of the caretaker. Gamers have to control the light signal of the tower, lighting and extinguishing it in time, as well as monitor the reserves of oil and fuel. In addition to these routine tasks, the entire territory of the island, which stores many secrets, is available for research. The study of the isolated environment will help to reveal information about the past of this place, discovering notes, personal items and other evidence. Each item found brings closer to unraveling the ominous secret.
The plot develops through the alternation of household chores and investigations, and built -in cinematic scenes contribute to its promotion. This story, inspired by real events, encounters a protagonist with his fragile mental state, where military injuries are intertwined with an oppressive atmosphere. In the climax, the player has to make three key choice, each of which in his own way reflects Arthur’s internal struggle. The decisions made will directly determine his future fate, leading to one of several radically different endings.
