THIEF’S SHELTER is a psychological adventure where reality itself becomes a reflection of the disintegrating consciousness of Detective James. His mind, affected by artificial dementia, gives rise to hallucinations and distorts memories, turning the investigation into a mysterious murder at Hybern Mansion into a real struggle with internal demons. Every room and corridor of this dark place can change at any moment, forcing you to doubt even your own thoughts and conclusions. An atmosphere of slowly building horror is created through surround sound and dynamic lighting, immersing you in a world where you can’t trust anything you see.
The events take place in Birmingham in 1965, a city riddled with corruption and street crime. During the investigation, Detective James will not only have to face his own illness, but also uncover the secret of the Red Order organization. This structure, known for centuries as a crime fighter, conducts sinister genetic experiments under the guise of producing health products. THIEF’S SHELTER gameplay modernizes the classic point-and-click mechanics, allowing you to freely move through 3D locations to search for clues. To discover hidden clues and solve puzzles, you will use special equipment, including a digital camera and an ultraviolet lamp, shedding light on the secrets of the mansion.
