Tomb Raider tells about the adventures of the iconic heroine Lara Croft. The protagonist is a tomb raider and an experienced archaeologist. Multiplayer game includes 4 modes: Deathmatch - everyone fights for themselves; Team DM - the same as in the previous mode, but the battle is between teams; Rescue - rescuers collect first aid kits for survivors, and Scavengers interfere with them; Cry for Help - one faction turns on the radio transmitters, and the second deactivates them.

Single-player missions consist of the protagonist interacting with the environment. Gameplay is affected by mass, weight, fire, water, wind and many other elements. Lara is able to cling to ropes and ledges, and can also climb walls using a pickaxe. Some equipment is unlocked as you progress.

Weapons include a pistol, a shotgun, a machine gun, a single-shot grenade launcher and a silent composite bow. Lara can also fight hand-to-hand and uses stealth mechanics to gain an advantage over a huge number of enemies. The characters of the adventure are Samantha, Grimm, Jonah, Whitman, Alex and Mathias - the main antagonist of the story.
