The plot tells the story of the town of Torchlight. Here, the ancient dragon Ordrak became a source of corruption, but he was defeated by three heroes: the Destroyer, the Alchemist and the Victorious.

New heroes must follow the Alchemist and the chaos he leaves in his wake to prevent him from defeating all the Elemental Guardians. The network game is aimed at interaction between partners. You need to exchange items, solve puzzles together, and much more. The possibility of free online play allows you to play as a representative of one of four classes. Each class in Torchlight 2 has its own unique abilities, as well as health and mana bars. Hero classes in Torchlight 2: Engineer - a melee fighter with basic magical attacks that are aimed at damage; Drifter - a long-range character capable of stunning and slowing down enemies; Berserker - a hero of melee attacks, but unlike the Engineer, does not have a huge strength, but capable of summoning creatures; Ember Mage is a real wizard with an extensive list of spells and the ability to teleport.

The Destroyer, Archer and Warlock returned from the previous part as NPCs. The cooperative mode will completely repeat the solo adventure, offering to go through the same locations and allowing you to follow the same plot. However, the aggressiveness and number of enemies depend on the number of people joining the game.
