In Wander Stars, martial artist Ringo and a scoundrel named Wolf work together to search for pieces of a legendary map across the universe. Their alliance becomes the basis for the search for Ringo’s brother and the discovery of the secrets of Wolfe’s past - a story told in 10 separate episodes. This space adventure involves forming alliances with a variety of characters, gradually creating a real family. The plot touches on themes of mystery, betrayal and redemption as the duo travels between worlds.
The basis of turn-based encounters in Wander Stars is the martial art of Kiai, which uses words to create attacks. Gamers combine vocabulary from three categories—actions like STRIKE, modifiers like SUPER, and elements like FIRE—to develop techniques. The character’s spirit level determines how many elements can be connected in one chain to perform complex techniques. Each word has a cooldown, and opponents have vulnerabilities that must be found and exploited. The vocabulary includes more than 200 items, allowing you to build strategies based on the available set.
The gameplay consists of expanding Ringo’s vocabulary and receiving Pep Ups - special battle bonuses. They are earned in fair fights, and this principle can turn former rivals into allies. Each of the ten episodes offers a location to explore with procedurally generated battles and unique events. This structure encourages re-exploration of areas to find new paths, hidden treasures and dialogues. Random elements and encounters make every adventure in this game feel different.
