Game Description
Who’s at the door? puts the player in the shoes of a man locked in a house and suffering from psychosis with amnesia. The protagonist, being a psychiatric patient, has no memories of the beginning of his condition, but experiences headaches and hallucinations. The main task is to survive for 8 days, for which you need to receive medicine from visitors. This requires carefully examining your surroundings, because the boundary between perception and reality has begun to disappear.
The outcome of events depends on a correct assessment of the situation before interacting with the door. Key mechanics of Who’s at the door? is built on repeated choices that directly affect the state of the protagonist. The house should be carefully inspected for any distortions or anomalies that indicate active visions. If the situation seems unchanged, you can open the door and take medications from the person outside.
However, if hallucinations occur, the prescribed action is to retrieve the medication left at the doorstep, avoiding direct contact and continuing to follow the structured course of treatment. The narrative extends beyond a single playthrough, as the game itself encourages repeated exploration to uncover multi-layered truths. Over the course of several attempts, fragments of the doll may be discovered that serve as clues to deeper details of the plot.
