Ys vs Trails in the Sky Alternative Saga is a dynamic crossover that unites characters from two famous universes, Ys and The Legend of Heroes. The legendary adventurer Adol Christin, his faithful companion Dogi and other heroes from the world of the franchise find themselves drawn into mysterious events that take them to the mysterious country of Xanadu. At the same time, Estelle Bright, Joshua Bright and their comrades from Liberl find themselves in the same world. Here they must fight each other in intense duels to uncover the secret of their migration and find a way to return home, facing a powerful being known as the Demiurge.

Battles take place in spacious arenas in the format of team battles, where the gamer controls one character, and the second acts as support.
